Born and raised in Spain, Maro moved to Germany in 2004 to complete her studies in Translation. Passionate about languages and cultures from an early age, she speaks English, German, Italian, Arabic, and Spanish as her mother tongue.

Maro began her photography journey in 2012, initially focusing on food photography. In 2016, she published her first book, A Comer, combining her love for visual storytelling and gastronomy.



In 2015, her interest expanded into photojournalism, leading her to document rallies, political events, and social movements. Through her camera, Maro seeks to capture authentic moments and tell meaningful human stories from her unique perspective.

She is also a contributor to ZUMA Press, and her work has been published in Die Zeit,  MDR AktuellJunge Welt, Perspektive Online,  Süddeutsche Zeitung or El Heraldo de Aragón.
